I found myself sitting on the hard, wooden pews of the Huntington County Superior Court to watch – and take the witness stand, if necessary – as my co-worker, Seth Anderson, disputed a workplace violence restraining order.

Fran Felts and Pam Fowler did more than just waste tax dollars having me questioned by the police. They also filed a “Petition of Employer for Injunction Prohibiting Violence or Threats of Violence Against Employee.”

“It was a stupid mistake, but not a fraudulent mistake … There is no proof of any fraud on the part of the clerk or her staff. There are obvious procedures that need to be addressed,” County Election Board President Carmen Oswalt said.

Today, HuntingtonDaily.com was informed of those test results in an email from Widmer. According to the email, all tests were complete and the machine met “new equipment factory specs.”

The County Election Board will meet at 1 p.m. Friday, April 16 in the GAR Room on the second floor of the County Courthouse to discuss the complaint Ray Tackett filed regarding the date/time stamp on a candidate filing form admittedly hand-altered by Felts.

At the recommendation of the State Election Commission, the County Election Board canceled its tentatively scheduled meeting to discuss Huntington County GOP Chairman Kristopher Underwood’s inappropriately dated candidate filing form.
