The Huntington County Community School Board will hold a special session at 6 p.m. Monday, July 12 at the Administrative Services Center for reorganization purposes.
The board trustees will also interview three of the five candidates who applied to fill the District 3 vacancy on the School Board. The other two candidates will be interviewed at the regularly scheduled July 19 meeting and one of the five candidates will be selected by the board.
School Board Vice President Rick Brubaker, who formerly represented District 3, chose not to run for re-election in May. Since no one else put his or her name on the ballot, the position will be filled by appointment.
Brubaker served at his last School Board meeting on June 28 and was honored by HCCSC for his eight years of service with a plaque presentation and a cake and punch reception.
