Huntington TEA Party to host debate, one year celebration

The Huntington TEA Party will host a State Senate and Representative Debate, along with a One Year TEA Party Celebration from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, April 16.

The candidate debate panel includes State Senatorial District 17 candidates Jim Banks and Tom Wall and also State Representative District 50 candidates Ron Fusselman and incumbent Representative Dan Leonard.

The event will also feature two guest speakers:  Jim O’Donnell, associate professor of business at Huntington University, and Peter Heck,  a conservative radio talk show host out of Kokomo.

O’Donnell will share economic information regarding our national debt and deficit, while  Heck is sure to inspire as he speaks on our Constitution and freedoms.

The event will be held at the Awakening Community Church, 251 Hauenstein Road (the old Pace Ford dealership).  Doors will open to the public at 6:30.

A straw poll will be conducted after the debate and there will be a contest for the most patriotic and creative TEA Party sign.
