It’s that time of year again, Huntington, when Cash Bonanza is in town raising funds for the Huntington County Crimestoppers, a non-profit organization dedicated to keeping our community safe for all that live here. The campaign kicked off Thursday, September 18 and is in full swing getting off to a great start. Telephone operators will be calling the numbers generated for them and asking for a donation in exchange for a certificate package worth over $3500 in free offers and buy one get one free offers. The cost of the donation is $54.95, the same price it’s been for 8 years. The packages will be delivered, free of charge, to homes and businesses that donate. The phone bank operates from 9:00 a.m. until 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. and is located at 411 North Jefferson, beside The Party Shop. The phone number is 359-2955. The certificate packages are going fast and these are good until August 30, 2009. They’re also transferrable, so if an operator calls you for a donation, please give one. Just using a couple of these certificates will give you your money back and you’ll be shopping local merchants. The Huntington County Crimestoppers is a worthy organization to donate too and the cost of the certificate package is tax deductible. Again, please give to a great cause when you get the call.
