Bald Eagles Nest in Huntington Indiana

A pair of Bald Eagles has made Huntington Home.  The Eagles nested across the river from the County Home Cemetary, in Evergreen Park.

Directly to the right of the marker, across the river is the location of the cemetary. To the right and slightly below is the location of a nice observation deck built by the Huntington Parks and Recreation Department. There are two observation decks when walking around the nicely paved walkway, and the one to the North provides the view of the eagles. When standing on the observation deck, stand in the North West corner and look at 45 degree angle for the birds. Want a better view? Enter off the paved trail at the cemetary sign (below) and follow a well beaten path back to a great spot to see Huntingtons very own Bald Eagles.
